Should you try and get your backlinks indexed? Well, rather than taking care of indexing your back links, focus on creating high quality content with great potential to get links naturally.
Regarding the back links, the rule is quality over quantity. When an indexer pings it just sends a notification to search engines or websites that search engines love to crawl informing them that the web page you placed a backlink on has updated.
Especially now, when Google sees primarily the amount of domains and doesn't care about how many other back links are pointing from each of them.
You can perform a “fetch as Google, ” and Googlebot will crawl and index the most recent version of your page and return valuable insights about it. To add to that, if logged into Google, you can simply do a submit URL, and I’ve seen pages indexed within seconds.
If you have a backlink multiple pages deep on a site, for example, a forum profile link and you've never made a post, it doesn't matter if the link gets indexed a week earlier or 5 months from now, the impact is going to be the same.
The first approach is to wait upto 2 weeks for Google to find them naturally. If they are not indexed, ping each of them which is free to do. Now wait another week and if the backlinks are still not indexed submit them to a backlink pinging service such as OneHourIndexing or Indexification. When you've done this its important that you track all of your results.
