Are you interlinking properly?

In link analysis, search engines measure who is linking to a site or page and what they are saying about that site/page. There’s no clear formula, or single answer for the minimum amount of content a page should have. Some sources suggest having at least 600-700 words of content on every page. Many people still think that having a high volume of crawlable and indexable pages is *always* better. Rankings matter. But they’re not the metric you should be focusing on. A Google research recently revealed that four out of five users trust search engines for local searches

Use Strong, Active Wording

Those new to SEO will pour a lot of time and money into it and are often frustrated by the lack of results. This makes many business owners reluctant to begin an SEO campaign and to stick it out for the long haul. If you have plans to be in business for more than five years, you need to invest in SEO. You likely won’t see an immediate impact, but it has the potential to be the best return on investment for your business. Speed is a ranking factor for desktop and a very important usability factor for mobile. Google is very serious about page loading times on mobile and that’s why they have introduced and pushing for the implementation of accelerated mobile pages. Always do your research and conduct your own experiments With very little money, you can create a website to test all types of backlinks and have your own case studies. Conventional wisdom has been that 301 redirects only pass about 85% of link equity.

Authority flows through the links on your website as well

Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and provide the best answers possible. Therefore, writing quality content for your audience is also something that will immediately lead to Google’s approval. If you need search engine optimisation help for your small business website, consider working with an SEO agency or hiring an SEO freelancer. This can be a complex area, and it pays to get it right. Understanding how your website visitors find you will help you determine if your SEO, marketing or networking efforts are paying off, or if you should refocus your priorities. Are you looking for SEO Advice? SEO doesn’t have to be especially difficult, but it does need to be well-planned and given plenty of attention if you want to achieve stable website rankings. Duplicate content as an SEO issue is a major factor. Duplicate content is when more than one page has the same content. Basically, don’t try to spam the same content across your website as this doesn’t arouse Google’s attention. This includes keywords (yes, we recommend you use keywords a number of times across your site but don’t go overboard and focus on just repetitive keywords.)

Links that are good for human visitors are also good for search engines

Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant from SEO Hull, commented: "In the early days of the Internet, people participated in traffic exchange programs. You joined a network of websites that opened pop-under windows that contained a link to your website. Your website would get thousands of visitors within a few days." Do your maths - its one of the primary resourcesfor this sort of thing. Its as simple as KS2 Maths. Really! When people conduct research, they want up-to-date, accurate information. That’s why it’s important to keep content updated. Recency is becoming an increasingly important ranking factor in Google’s search algorithm and for good reason—your audiences don’t want to waste time reading dated content. Creating content on a consistent basis not only builds links internally (by linking out from your posts), but also gives you the ability to naturally attract links to your content. A blog is essential to many strategies I list below, such as linking out. Regardless if you already work, live and breathe the internet or if you’re just about to craft your online presence, there’s one magic term that you’ve probably heard of – SEO. When you use underscores to separate words in a URL name, Google will read it as one single word.

Use topic clusters for optimal SEO

In short, Google is looking for signs of quality, relevance and great design. At the end of the day, Google does not care about you as a content creator. You are not Google’s customer! Google’s customer is the end user who searches for a keyphrase because they want to get relevant information or find the answer to a question. Longer content tends to ranksignificantly higher on Google’s first page. Make sure all of your articles have 1000+ words of useful content. Longer content helps you rank better for your target keyword and brings in more long tail traffic. If you’re thinking about using a CMS plugin that automatically hyperlinks a certain word every time it appears on your website (i.e. like Wikipedia does), I’d suggest refraining from doing so unless you’re a relatively big brand or if it makes complete sense from a UX perspective. Search engine optimization, or SEO, is a specialized form of content writing that can be extremely effective in boosting the amount of traffic that comes to your website via search engines, like Google and Bing. The world has gone mobile. People are gradually shifting from desktop computers to mobile smartphones and tablets. Thus, to ensure great user experience Google started ranking responsive or mobile-friendly websites higher in the search results.

Paid links are like paying someone to be your wingman to impress a girl rather than having a genuine friend by your side who can vouch for how great you really are! Great contentnever sleeps, never needs a lunch break and is adored by search engines and customers alike. You should list your site in open directory projects and you must use high quality content. You may also try to use Link Exchange programs. Search volume refers to how many times a particular phrase is searched for. It’s a handy way to gauge how much traffic you’ll receive from a specific query, though you should know that volume tends to fluctuate over time. Bear in mind that your keyword or phrase should be the most frequently used term in the body text of any given webpage. This is called keyword density. However you shouldn’t overuse this signal – if you stuff the copy with keywords then your text won’t be readable and Google will likely penalise you for not writing for human readers.
