If a site, or specific page, has a lot of backlinks pointing to it, Google then sees this page or site as credible. This is only true, though, if those backlinks are coming from quality, reputable sources, and it’s even better when those sites are relevant to your site. People continually say that SEO is dead and that trying to rank in Google is futile. Then you get a sales pitch that points you to a social media product or some other type of paid traffic gimmick. The following are the two most important things you need to ensure: that (1) your page loads quickly (under 2 seconds) and (2) your page is as small as possible with the least number of requests. Most webmasters believe Google crawls their website in one go and will continue until everything’s crawled.
